What a dull ache that comes from boredom! And so constantly - life passes by like a train, sleepy, drunk, and cheerful, and boring people stick out in the windows - and I, yawning, look after him with wet eyes.

And you are a fool if you hope to deceive your nature. This new peaceful life is not for us.

You came into this world as a human being, and if you do not feel your unity with the universe, that is, do not use the priceless opportunity inherent in this moment, your human life will be wasted. Simply eating, sleeping, reproducing, and dying does not require the sophisticated body, mind, and consciousness that you are now endowed with. Not exploring this amazing gift is monstrous stupidity.

If I showed a little more gratitude and was glad to be alive, life itself would seem better to me. Maybe that's why poor people give thanks for the disgusting tuna stew BEFORE they eat it.

Why me?

The pain I'm destined to endure.

It's time to realize how much time we waste on sheer nonsense. The world is filled with hatred, violence, blaming everyone for everything. We were once smart animals, but our current state cannot be called anything other than pathology. We're not that smart, apparently. For two thousand years we have been fighting with the best that we have invented - philosophy, art. My cat doesn't understand that he's going to die, but he's smart enough to respect the world around him. And we are stuck in these endless conflicts. So, back to the beginning of my long-winded answer: the main lesson is to recognize the value of what we are given, life itself.
