I think that's why I was initially so attracted to this idea - to write and leave letters. All this, again, comes back to presence. To the fact that nothing causes such an amazing feeling as knowing that someone, somewhere, is thinking about you. Even if it's just a scrap of note paper left on the train for a stranger to find. In a world that tugs at you, requiring you to look in a thousand different directions at the same time, it's nice to know that someone says: "Hey, I see you!"

It's not as easy as it was back in the days when I was five years old and my best friend and I pretended to swap hair like it was helmets on our heads before running out onto the tarmac for a walk. In order to change your life as abruptly and drastically as you did, you had to go through a complex mental process, and in order to continue this life now and constantly be at the height of your convictions, you must work hard day after day with your mind and heart.
If my notes fall into your hands, remember that the best and most lasting changes are those that come from the improvement of morals, without any violent upheavals.

An emotionally mature person should fully accept the fact that we live in a world of probabilities and chances, where there is not and probably never will be absolute certainty in anything, and should realize that it is not so terrible at all - such a probabilistic, changeable world.
It is incredibly difficult to love something that seems unfair, cruel or terrible to us. But this is a transition to creativity.
Growth can hurt, change can hurt, but nothing hurts more than being stuck in the wrong place.
