Painting or any work of art can only exist when you are inside. Everything else is imitation, a pathetic attempt to reproduce what has long existed. Perhaps in another dimension or on a different stage of development... It was surprising. Same as if someone declared himself a poet, without writing a single poem, with only a hearing and a keen sense of beauty.
