Alexey Vyazovskiy, Sergei Solovyov. Collection of popular delusions (№ 171444)

An atheist is not required to give positive arguments. The burden of proof rests on who asserts, not Vice versa. Even in Roman law was the situation: try incumbit ei qui dicit, non qui negat (the one obliged to prove who asserts, not he who denies).
We prove only claiming hypothesis, for example: "in the ponds of live mermaids", "the forests are inhabited by devils", "God exists." Negative hypothesis: "in ponds mermaids do not live" "in the woods no devils", "there is no God" can only be disproved.
