John Milton. Paradise Lost (№ 182173)

In me the determination not exhausted
In the minds trampled my
Dignity, and the proud anger boils
Told me to raise to battle with Him
Rebellious Spirits exuberant shelves
Those that he despised tyranny,
The leader electing me. We unsuccessfully
His Throne was trying to undermine
And lost the fight. So what?
Not all was lost: the saved fuse
An indomitable will, along
With immense hatred, thirst for revenge
And courage - not to yield forever.
And l it is not victory? Because we have
Remain what can not He
Neither fury nor the power to select -
Unfading glory.
Quote Explanation: Lucifer turns to his brothers
