The yoke of serfdom, unlimited power over him, the yoke of the aristocracy and princes, the domination of passions and lusts, but even the government's own will, self-will, for perfect self-denial also comes down to freedom, the freedom of self-determination, from self, and the desire for freedom as for something absolute, for which we shall pay any price, deprived us of our identities; it created self-denial, self-denial. But the freer I become, the more piled on me violence, I feel bessilna.
