Max Stirner. The only one and his property (№ 212029)

Pre-Christian and Christian epochs pursue opposite goals; the first wants to idealize the real, the second - to realize the ideal, the first is looking for the "Holy spirit" and "spiritual flesh." Therefore, the first ends insensitivity to the real, with "contempt for the world", the second "contempt for the spirit."
Contrast the real and the ideal are irreconcilable, and one can never become the other: if the ideal has become real, it would not have been more perfect, and if the real became the ideal, then there would be only perfect, but real was not at least. The contradiction between them can be overcome only when you destroy something, and more. Only in this third, that destroy may be the end of this antithesis: otherwise idea and reality will never collide with each other. The idea can not be implemented so that it remained an idea, and is realized only when it is dead as an idea; the same applies to real.
