Lawrence Maxwell Krauss. (№ 273138)

Every atom in your body originated in an exploding star. And maybe the atoms in your left hand originated in a different star than the atoms in your right hand. This is really the most poetic thing I know about physics: you are all Stardust. You wouldn't be here if stars did not explode because the chemical elements - carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all that is necessary for evolution and life - weren't created at the beginning of time. They were synthesized in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only reason they got into your body, it is because the stars deign to explode. Forget Jesus. The stars died so you could be here and now.
