October 18, 1941, the Japanese arrested Sorge. Within a few months before the Japanese radio intercept service were caught transferring secret radio transmitter Sorge, however, could not decipher them and locate the transmitter. With this transmitter only in 1940 was handed over to Moscow not less than thirty thousand of encrypted groups of words. Sorge's radio operator was trained in Moscow by the German Max Klausen, who most often led the program with a small sailing vessel, while having the opportunity to choose to transfer any place. Damage Sorge and Clausena the Japanese, were extremely large; they were both sentenced to death.
