Schizophrenics rarely develop two or more individuals with whom they could alternately be identified. The personality of the schizophrenic is one solid "I" with a sick mind. Crushing of consciousness in schizophrenia means the splitting of the basic functions of the individual, the separation of the emotional sphere of the logic. A conscious turning away from the outside world and is drawn to the inner world of imagination, to the imagination. In a sense, there is a complete break with reality.
