"My tattoo is the fact that I don't have tattoos", I said to my son. Actually once I almost got a tattoo that day, when my father died. Before you go into the army, he was a jockey at the races, and he was tattooed head of a horse, entered in a horseshoe and braided with roses. I remember when he died, I left home with the intention to get a tattoo - and, thank God, did not. Because he was piss drunk.
