Words should not only have a dry meaning, like exact scientific definitions, they should be felt, felt. They must refer to certain experiences and be associated with certain phenomena. The richer the experience, the tastier the words (and not only sweets are delicious). But in order to discuss a certain experience, you need to know the appropriate words. Then the language becomes alive and imaginative, thoughts are combined with feelings, and a kind of magic appears. Then prose becomes poetry. Then the storyteller acquires the ability to paint living pictures with words, creating a virtual experience. Then language begins to have a profound effect.
