The artist must paint not what he sees but what will be seen.

The real thing not just a trivial and ordinary objects from our immediate environment. What is really real - is the fact brief moment, when we have a feeling. And that's what I'm trying to Express through my paintings.

When you look at the picture, you may wonder, what is imaginary and what is real. Talking about the reality of the phenomena or phenomenon of reality? What's really inside and what outside? What we have here: a dream or a reality? If the dream is a revelation about the life of reality, the waking life is also a revelation about the dream.

The feeling that we have when we look at the picture, it is not necessary to distinguish from the picture or from ourselves. The feeling of the picture and we are United in one mystery.

My painting is visible images which conceal nothing... they evoke mystery. And when people see one of my paintings, they ask themselves a simple question: "What do you mean?" It doesn't mean anything
because mystery means nothing either, it is unknowable.

Some are able to write even the dirt on the road, but is that realism?

Love of life, joy and cheerfulness, the love of his "Russian" - it was always the only "story" of my paintings.

... Went today at kinesma, they all looked very beautiful town, with such typical local face. Especially good for the river, where two churches such a strange shape. Tomorrow I want to go there to write etyudik, if not cold - today is 21°, and it seemed to me not particularly cold day. You know how frustrating it is to see everything and not be able to work, and it is very much interesting, especially the last Bazaar I was amazed at the colors surprisingly heavy, and probably who I'll be staying; than to invent all sorts of "stories", it is only necessary to take from nature, which is infinitely diverse of all invented. We're going Saturday night, Saturday will be a market, and I want to see more...
