Charity is the last refuge for those who like to pester their neighbors.

Know the measure in charity: excessive help can make a good man helpless.

Nasreddin Hodja one day appeared at court in a luxurious turban and asked for money for charity.
- Came to ask for money, but wear such a gorgeous and without a doubt, a very expensive turban - replied the Lord.
- How much is this miraculous thing?
- Five hundred gold pieces, ' replied he of the Sufi sage.
Is a lie, whispered into the ear of the ruler his vizier. - None of the turban may not be worth the money.
However, Nasrudin insisted:
I came here not only to ask but to agree. I paid so much money for the turban because I knew that all the sublunary world, only our Lord will be able to buy it for six hundred gold pieces. To the revenue I could pay in favor of the poor.
Flattered the Sultan paid the required amount. And sage, leaving the Palace, said to the vizier:
- You know how much a turban, but the limit to which brings a person's vanity, I know of one

Charity is a cow that is milked poorly and gives very little milk.

The true goal of charity is not to do charity, but that there was no one to charity.

The philanthropic charity lose all sense of humanity. It is their distinguishing characteristic.
