The folds of my gray flannel trousers were charged with "is-ness" even more than a chair, though perhaps less than the absolutely supernatural flowers. What are the folds of these were required this privileged status, I can not say. Perhaps because of the folded shape of the drapery are so strange and dramatic that they capture the look and in this way draw attention to the wonderful fact of existence? Who knows?
