Jack London. Sea wolf (№ 185066)

The conversation touched on the Lucifer from the poem Milton, and the acuteness of the analysis which gave this image of Wolf Larsen, and the brilliance of some of his descriptions show that he ruined a definite talent. I involuntarily came to mind Ten, although I knew that Larsen never read this brilliant but dangerous thinker.
- He led the fight for the cause, doomed to failure, and not afraid of the thunders of heaven, said Larsen. - Cast down to hell, he was not broken. He took a third of angels rebelled against the person of God and generations of people were attracted to his side and doomed to hell. Why was he expelled from Paradise? Was he less brave, less proud, less great in their intentions than the Lord God? No! A thousand times no! But God was more powerful. How is it said? "He got lifted up by the force of thunders". But Lucifer is a free spirit. For him to serve was tantamount to death. He chose suffering and the freedom of carefree life and slavery. He didn't want to serve God. He never wanted to serve. He wasn't legless figure like the one that adorns the nose of my ship. He stood on his own feet. It was a person!
- He was the first anarchist, was download Mod, getting up and heading to his cabin.
Means to be an anarchist well! cried Wolf Larsen.
He too rose and stood before her at the door to her quarters, recited:
... At least here
Free will. We are here God will not
Envy and us he will not cast out.
Here we will rule. And though in hell,
But still the rule stands, for it is better
To reign in hell than to be a slave in heaven.
