O friend, know how to endure suffering,
That heart with the light of life to enlighten.
Those whose soul is free from carnal ties,
Submissive stars, the sun and the moon.
To those who lust in the heart is won,
Submissive clouds and circles of light.
And the heat of the day will not be singed.
He who in proud patience has been tempered.
