Armen Gasparyan. A new cold war. Who will win this time? (№ 328022)

... the collapse of the Soviet Union and, as a consequence, the fact that today in America is called "victory in the cold war", was the result of a fatal error that led to the crisis of ideology. And it all began not with the advent to power of Mikhail Gorbachev declared perestroika and the advent of "new thinking". It began, oddly enough, from the perspective of the founder of the Soviet state Vladimir Lenin.
The fact that the state model, which is found in the land of the Soviets the Bolsheviks after the Civil war, did not imply a number of crucial institutions required for a full life of any normal society. Political science and sociology as a science did not really exist; the philosophy was clearly a pen - philosophers trying to think broadly, at best dismissed, at worst were sent to places not so remote. Plus, within the Soviet society, in principle, there was no debate on the most pressing issues.
