The learning process in the University was to the ancient world as a way: you place a large number of young people as close as possible to a huge number of books and hope that in some incredible way at least something from the latter will flow into the first. While these young people prefer to "fit" as close to the taverns and every kind of eatery - for the same reason and with the same purpose.
