Nikolay Yakovlevich Agnivtsev. (№ 361664)

Was the day and hour when sadly
Stepping into the noisy crowd,
The crust of bread shook
The Alexandrian pillar!..
As laughed lanes
Avenues, streets!.. And suddenly
Before a three-roll
Bent prostrate Saint Petersburg!..
And the ringing of the morning
Grinds clang hungry plates!..
And that's from hunger shook
Elizabethan granite!..
Sighed the old Palazzo...
And finally at the columns
Went to the Nevsky sold
The splendor of his great grandfather's time!..
And immediately hunched facades...
And, with clenched teeth, over the Neva
An eight-bulk
Stand with outstretched hand.
Oh how scary-just
Fit your days to an end!..
- Post the Troitsky bridge,
- Post Winter Palace!..
