As with books, it's stuck in the snow on the approach to the castle, where he found the banker from Braavos. Stannis has signed a contract with the Iron Bank, and sent his trusted knight in Braavos for the mercenaries, telling them to return and continue to fight to put the daughter of Stannis on the Iron throne even if he Stannis will die in battle.
