The only experimental fact proving that life in General is good, is that the vast majority of people prefer her death.

We know now that the cause of suicide lies not in the difficulties of life and what is the remedy to stop the growth in the number of voluntary deaths is not to make the struggle less severe and life easier. If people kill themselves more often now than before, not because we have to make more difficult efforts to maintain its existence, and not because our legitimate needs are less satisfied, but because we don't know now, no where to stop our legitimate needs, no matter what the purpose is of our activities.

Who has not spared himself even less will to spare the others.
