The poet is incited ironically, the philosopher seriously, but love for yourself is indeed the first duty of man. Of course nobody likes smug, and many fine people suffer from dissatisfaction. But the man himself is not loving, is terrible. Only those who confidently, without broken line loves himself can love others - look at the most charming, kind and open people, and you will see that this is so: they love themselves so relaxed that they don't have to maintain that love in any assertion, they do not have too much to hide the shortcomings and fear of ridicule and condemnation. This love is natural, and therefore invisible, there is nothing forced. Such are the people who always Pets and show that love for yourself has nothing to do with complacency and not what is called selfishness, egocentrism...
