Stories themselves reach us. There's nothing you can do about it. There are many different myths, many competing realities within our heads. These realities feed books, television, even the half-forgotten fairy tales. There are countless fictional stories with which we are familiar is better than with real things and people. We are much stronger than are associated with fictional characters we know and love, than with random people, by which we pass on the street. Our fates and our inspiration consist of lies, myths and inventions.
