We like our efforts to the defenders of Troy.
Hope, determination and courage
we rock evil machinations turned away
and the wall will continue our battle.
When the great time comes,
determination and courage to leave us;
worried soul in us, a feeble voice;
we round the Trojan walls, run, escape,
and the flight is all that is left to us.
All the same the fall for us is inevitable. On the walls
already it begins, the lament of the funeral.
The crying, the sadness, cry our memories;
and a loud cry of Priam and Hecuba.
