Songwriting is always a group process. We get together at someone's house or in the studio and start playing until something cool is born. Then I go home with a record of cool pieces and think about the words. Everyone in the group has something to work on, everyone knows their stuff, and we all do our job really well. So when we're writing songs, we can just look around and say, "Great, we're writing this part." Songwriting, like producing, is not done by one person - everyone works for the product that is obtained in the end.
