Among the most profound scientific minds will hardly find a person who is deprived of its specific religious feelings. However, this feeling is different from the religion of the layman. For the last God - a being whose favor he hopes and whose fears of punishment, the sublimation of feelings, like the love of a child to the father - being, which he to a certain extent in a relationship, even if this feeling is strongly colored by awe.
But the scientist is possessed by the sense of universal causation. The future for him to the last detail as definite and inevitable as the past. In morality there is nothing divine, is solely a human invention. The religious feeling of the scientist takes the form of delight and admiration the harmony of the laws of nature, for within them is the mind, in comparison with the grandeur that any systematic thoughts and actions of a human being - only a vague reflection.

I am absolutely convinced that no wealth in the world will not advance humanity on the path of progress, even if it's in the hands of the most devoted fighter for humanity. Examples of great characters and a clean shower is the only thing that can generate bright ideas and noble deeds. And the money only massaged the egos and always introduce owners to the temptation to use them for evil. Can you imagine the money bags of Carnegie in the hands of Moses or Gandhi?

Maybe I'm too pessimistic about the state and other public institutions, however, do not expect anything good from them. Bureaucracy is death to any good undertaking. I saw and felt in my own experience many formidable sign of her, even in comparatively model Switzerland.

While there are army, any serious strife will inevitably lead to war. Pacifism, which is not trying to save peoples from the arms was, is and will be powerless. Let them awaken people's conscience and common sense - and then we can move on to a new stage in the life of Nations when they remember the war as incomprehensible fallacy of their forefathers!

The inventive genius of man in the last hundred years gave us so many blessings that if a political organization kept pace with technological advances, life would be happy and carefree. But while all these achievements, which cost a lot of works, in the hands of our generation is like a razor in the hands of a three year old child.
