Author of quotes: Osip Andreevich Monchalovsky

To be Ukrainian means: to renounce one's past, to be ashamed of belonging to the Russian people, even of the names "Rus", "Russian", to renounce the traditions of history, to carefully erase all all-Russian idiosyncrasies from oneself and try to imitate the regional "Ukrainian" identity. Ukrainianism is a retreat from the age-old language and culture worked out by all branches of the Russian people and the folk genius, self-transformation into an intertribal cast-off, into a rubdown of Polish or German boots: idolatry before the region, servility to the Polish-Jewish-German socialists, renunciation of the original principles his people, from historical self-awareness, retreat from church and social traditions. Ukrainianism is a disease that can undermine even the strongest national organism, and there is no condemnation that would be enough for this voluntary self-destruction!
