There is a big difference between failure and fiasco. Failure is nothing more than a lack of success. Bad luck can befall any fool. But a fiasco... a fiasco is a disaster of extraordinary size. Fiasco easily becomes a legend to be passed from mouth to mouth, and that helps other people feel more cheerful, because the trouble happened not with them.
