knowledge [Theme] Page 113
Know everything, but not everyone can.
We are all naive materialists, I thought. And we are all rationalists. We want everything immediately explained natsionalisticheskie, that is, reduced to a handful of already known facts. And none of us for a penny of dialectics. Nobody comes between known facts and some new phenomenon may lie the sea of the unknown, and then we declare the new phenomenon of the supernatural and therefore impossible.
The greatest manifestation of mercy in our world is, in my opinion, the inability of the human mind to tie together all that this world involves. We live on the quiet island of ignorance in the midst of the dark sea of infinity and we do not have to swim long distances. Science, each of which pulls in its direction, still caused us little harm; but the day will come and unite hitherto disparate pieces of knowledge will open before us these types of horrific reality that we will either lose his mind from what he saw, or try to hide from this destructive enlightenment in the peace and safety of a new middle ages.
- As soon as I know, - I continued, - I'm not free. But I'm completely free when you don't know.
There are people who still believe that knowledge is power.
People need to challenge their four eternal enemies and defeat them. Anyone who wins becomes a man of knowledge.
A man goes to knowledge as he goes to war fully awakened, full of fear, awe and absolute determination.
Fear - the first enemy is inevitable, one must defeat on the way to knowledge.
