Ibn al-Abdullah Mukaffa. Kalila and Dimna (№ 194438)

Man differs from other animals four properties inherent only to him, and they are the Foundation of the universe. This is the wisdom, the purity of temper, prudence and justice. By wisdom, we understand the knowledge of various Sciences, the ability to deal with people and convince them. Discretion is patience and restraint, piety and prudence. With regard to the purity of the disposition, it is chastity, modesty, generosity, loyalty and ability to behave with dignity. Finally, justice is the pursuit of truth, the observance of promises, the accomplishment of good deeds and honesty. All of these properties are attributed to the virtues and their opposites to vices. If a person has virtues above him rises unlucky star misconceptions in the earthly world and bring it on themselves punishment in the hereafter with the paucity of good deeds, even if he is from the powerful of this world and has the wealth and power. He is not sad that is transient, not sad, if the fate takes its heritage and does not fall apart if he'll be in trouble. Wisdom is an inexhaustible treasure and eternal treasure, nesesity outfit and inescapable pleasure.
