The essentialism. The path to simplicity (№ 382988)

The ancient Greeks had two words for time: Chronos and Kairos.
The Greek God Chronos was represented as an elderly gray-haired man, and his name was associated with the clock ticking, in a chronological sequence, which we still measure and compete in the effort to use it effectively.
The word "Kairos" to translate the more difficult it is unexpected and favorable moment.
Chronos is quantitative, Kairos is qualitative. To experience Kairos can only be fully being in the present moment: that we exist "now".
Amazing that from a practical point of view we have just now.
We can't control the future in a literal sense. Only the present.
Of course, we learn from the past and is able to imagine the future. However, only "here" and "now" we actually have the power to do the things that really matter.
