Allan Kardec. The book of spirits (№ 396482)

Question: In a dream I often see things that seem to be premonitions, but which are not performed subsequently. Why is this happening?
Answer: They can be for the spirit, if not body. The spirit sees what he wants to see because he's going to meet. We should not forget that during sleep the soul remains more or less under the influence of matter and that, consequently, is not completely released from earthly concepts; therefore, the worries of yesterday can give the dream look what you strongly desire or what you're afraid of what may be called the action of the imagination. When I'm busy with some idea, then it binds all that you see in a dream.
