If you approach a wounded animal, it will behave unpredictably. People with emotional wounds do the same.

The marriage is not happy because the spouses get along so great with each other, but because they are hard to overcome those places where they don't get along.

Women are communicating how to search for treasure, the men - as to cleaning fallen leaves from the lawn. A man rakes leaves, neatly collects them in a bag, and thinks the deed is done. The wife, eager to know what's out there in the depths, remains unsatisfied.

Judgment is when you don't know why the man did what he did, but still trying to ascribe fictional motives.

When we are together with other people on a more or less long term, who we are actually, in itself, comes to the surface. How we act in stressful and unexpected situations can tell us a lot. In ordinary life most of us manage quite successfully to hide their weaknesses. Even ourselves we can convince that we are better than it is. But a close relationship can lead us to clean water.

Nothing attracts listeners like a confession.
