Yes, people are strange creatures, but especially good. First and foremost, is good, and what is strange is secondary.

Many of us sleep with the TV on (though some only during the night in a hotel). But why are we doing this, why we did it as a child? Why, when we were little, we was calmer sleep directly under a dining table where guests sit? Or on the sofa with upholstery biting, at hand from older people who are watching a movie? Perhaps the fact that sleep is a separation from reality. Scared of falling into the unknown, when there's no one there.
