The body of man at birth is gentle and lithe, but after death it becomes hard. All vegetal beings are also at its birth is gentle and lithe, and after death they become dry and brittle.
Powerful the tree will not stand in a storm. Or it is waiting for the axe. Lithe and gentle tree has an advantage here.
The one who is gentle and lithe walks the path of life. One who is not gentle and lithe walks the path of death.

Who possesses knowledge and keeps silence about it is honorable.
Who has no knowledge but pretend knows - that... is not healthy.

Worldly passions weakens. Resoluteness fills man with power!
Worldly passions cripples. Resoluteness elevates man and strengthens the consciousness!
Worldly passions enslaving its owner. Resoluteness makes man free!
Dispassionate, gentle, and yielding conquers passionate, hard, and rough.

He who knows people is reasonable. Knowing yourself is enlightened. Who can conquer enemies is strong. Winning itself* is powerful.
The one who has material wealth is rich. Acting with great tenacity - has the will. But pandering to their desires is weak and foolish.

The wise man always saves people and no one rejects.

A smooth path is the most difficult.

The wise man
Doesn't go anywhere and knows everything,
Nothing on looks - and understands everything,
Does nothing and accomplishes everything.

Who knows how to walk does not leave traces.
Who can say no one touches the word.

To devote themselves to teaching - so every day to purchase.

Great purity seems a shame.
Infinite perfection seems flawed.
Immutable perfection seems indulgence.
True sincerity seems to be a sham.

The great square has no corners.
The great vessel is longer.
Great music is heard just smaller.
The great image has no shape.

People are not afraid to be oppressed,
therefore, bring themselves to complete oppression. Depriving yourself of the pleasure to live an easy life and without worries, they deprive themselves of the opportunity to enjoy life. Indeed, only he has no obstacles
who doesn't build them himself. This is why the wise knows himself but does not display herself. Loves himself but does not set itself high. And because abandoning one, he finds more.

If you want to become whole, let yourself be divided into parts.
If you want to become full let yourself be empty.
If you want to get everything - let it all go.

Man at his birth is tender and weak, and in case of death, solid and sturdy. All creatures and plants at his birth is tender and weak, and when death is dry and rotten. Solid and sturdy is what dies while the tender and weak is what begins to live. Therefore, a powerful army wins and strong the tree is dying. The strong and powerful does not have the same benefits, which are delicate and weak.
