Increasing violence, Power inevitably reduces its own stability. Not the smartest approach. By the way, it is precisely for this reason that it is naive to call the post-Stalinist USSR a totalitarian state, since the quality and depth of education of the population, and not the scale of violence, constantly increased in it. Educated people cannot be kept by violence, only by an idea. And the destruction of the USSR occurred precisely at the moment when the authorities could not adequately respond to the emerging economic problems.

The only way to win a real victory was to attack a weakened enemy - not expecting a blow, divided his troops or involved in a war on two fronts.

Power is a matter so familiar to everyone that no one thinks about it, just as no one thinks about breathing oxygen or speaking their native language. The Art of Power is mastered by its participants in practice, through long (and often painful) training, and its top is reached more by chance than by outstanding skill. That is why the most powerful social force on the planet - Power - still remains outside the field of view of scientists. The material resources used by the Power are studied by economists, human resources - by physicians, psychologists and sociologists, the course of events - by historians.

Generally speaking, the strength of any elite lies in the ability to navigate between the Charybdis of degeneration and the Scylla of the loss of traditions when generations change. To do this, special institutions are being formed that check potential candidates (the more distant approaches, the better). Before a person new to the elite receives the status of “one of his own” (“accepted in decent houses”) and permission to create his own tribal clan, he must be comprehensively checked by a special “personnel commission”. The role of such commissions in Western society is played by private clubs

Revolutions do not spring up in a vacuum; most often, of course, their cause is the weakness of the ruling monarch and the need to replace him with another, more popular one; however, sometimes it also happens that the cause of the revolution is a change in the beliefs of the main representatives of the ruling elite.

The monarchy is not a palace or a throne, but people's ideas about how the Power should be arranged.

Power is a long game, quick success here is as dangerous as cheese in a mousetrap.
