This is an onion. Is a metaphor for a news story. A couple of hours ago, I was standing on the ledge of the 60th floor... and interviewed the man, who then jumped down. 40 million dollars in the Bank, happy marriage, good health. Great story. But we need more. After all, we're professionals, right? Mistress, or some kind of hoax? Another great story. Maybe this guy was accused of child molesting? Amazing. What? The charges were false? Great - another story. And mistress was not - she was lying? Setting the guy up, huh? Sensation. The way it goes. Sorry. Dig, investigate, disclose all the guy's life, his family. Why? We're old pros. We are looking for the truth. And what if in the end... everything turns out to be true? Were only stories. One by one, until nothing remained. And if so, do we have to stop at some point? All the time or to dig, to excavate, to remove layer after layer until there's nothing left? Until we defeat that investigated.

Many would say that's what heroism is... stupidity. To do something that, on reflection, would you do not. Because it is not in your best interests.

I think we're all heroes if you catch us at any moment. We all have something noble and worthy. And that the rest of the time we are all far less heroic.
