Beware of the scribes, who love to go about in long robes and love to be greeted in public assemblies, to sit in synagogues and to sit at feasts, who eat at widows' houses and pray hypocritically long; they will receive the greater condemnation.

The children of this age marry and are given in marriage; but those who are worthy to reach that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, and can no longer die, for they are equal to the angels and are the sons of God, being the sons of the resurrection.

The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.

All that you have, sell and give to the poor, and you will have treasures in heaven.

Whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.

When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?

Will not God protect His chosen ones who cry out to Him day and night, although He is slow to defend them.

When you make dinner or supper, do not call your friends, nor your brothers, nor rich neighbors, so that they will not call you either, and you will not receive a reward. But when you make a feast, call the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you, for you will be rewarded at the resurrection of the righteous.

What is high among people is an abomination before God.

When you go with your rival to the authorities, then on the road try to free yourself from him, so that he does not lead you to the judge, and the judge does not hand you over to the torturer, and the torturer does not throw you into prison. I tell you, you won't get out of there until you've paid your last penny.

If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief would come, he would have been awake and would not have allowed his house to be dug up. Be ready also, for at what hour you do not think, the Son of Man will come.

Do not worry about your soul what you will eat, nor about your body what to wear: the soul is more than food, and the body is more than clothes.

Man's life does not depend on the abundance of his possessions.

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
