As if suffused with lead, we sat motionless behind the bar. Splashed some music, and being our light and strong. It powerfully spilled in our chest, we forgot all about waiting for us hopeless bleak furnished room, forgot about the despair of our whole existence, and the bar was transformed into the bridge of the ship of life upon which we noisily burst into the future.

- What have you been doing?
- Yes, actually, nothing. Just lived for yourself.
- Praise for it! There is nothing more beautiful.

Theatres, concerts, books - I almost lost the taste for all these bourgeois habits. They were not in the spirit of the times. Policy was in itself sufficiently theatre, the nightly shots were replaced by concerts, and a huge book of human needs was more convinced of entire libraries.

The girl was sitting silently next to me; light and shadow that penetrated through the glass, slid down her face. Sometimes I looked at her; I thought again of the evening when he first saw her. Her face became more serious, it seemed more a stranger than at dinner, but very beautiful; this person back then amazed me and gave more peace. Was it something from the mysterious silence that is inherent in nature - trees, clouds, animals - and sometimes a woman.

I know she thinks a lot about her disease, her condition still had not improved - it told me Gaffe; but in my lifetime I saw so many dead that any illness for me was still life and hope; I know you can die from wounds that I've seen, but I always find it hard to believe that the disease in which a man with a mind intact, can be dangerous.

I loved to watch how Pat dressed. I have never felt with such force the eternal, the incomprehensible mystery woman, like when she quietly moved in front of the mirror, thoughtfully looked at him, were completely dissolved in itself, going into the subconscious, inexplicable self-perception of their gender. I had not imagined that a woman could dress up chatting and laughing; but if she did, so she lacked the mystery and ineffable charm of the ever-elusive charms.

With women I take it, but with love, you can't. Hopelessness - that's what depresses me.
