Mark Manson. The Subtle Art of Don't Care: A Paradoxical Way to Live Happily (№ 411781)

We let go of jokes about "Third World problems," but we have fallen victim to our own success. Over the past thirty years, stress illnesses, anxiety neuroses and depression have begun to occur at every turn, although everyone has a flat screen TV and food is delivered to the house. Our crisis is no longer material, but existential and spiritual. We have so much junk and opportunities that we are fed up beyond measure. Because we've managed to see and learn too much, we've seen a lot of situations where we don't conform to the ideal, or aren't good enough, or something is missing. And it drives us crazy.
