So, comrades, how our life? Let's face the truth. Poverty, overwork, untimely death, is our inheritance. We are born, we have the feed, not to die of hunger, and working cattle and even exhausting work, yet will not squeeze out all the juice, and when we are more good-for-nothing, kill us with monstrous cruelty. There is no animal in England that would not have kept with the leisure and joy of life, barely he turns a year. There is no animal in England, which would not be enslaved. Poverty and slavery - that's what life is animals, and we cannot escape it.

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
