Character: Mr. Edward Magorium Mr Edward Magorium

When king Lear dies in act five, you know what did Shakespeare write? He wrote: "he died." And that's all. Say no more. No fanfare, no metaphor, no beautiful final words. The culmination of the most brilliant masterpiece of dramatic literature is the words "he died." The genius of Shakespeare has not invented anything better. And every time I read those two words, I am filled with deep sadness, but I know that being sad is normal, not because of the words "he died", but because of the life that precedes these words. I've lived all five of my acts... And I'm not asking you to enjoy my care, I ask only to turn the page and keep reading. And let start another story. And if someone asks what has become of me, tell my life in all its glory and finish with a simple and modest "he died"... that's life, nothing can be done. Keep your head up!
