In the evening we were going to Indian cave and take turns reading from Thoreau, Whitman, Shelley, from the romantics, and some even read their poems. And in this magical moment, poetry acted on us magically. <...> We were romantics! We enthusiastically read poems, poetry dripping from our tongues like nectar.

We are food for worms, boys. No matter how it seemed incredible, but each of us will one day cease to breathe, trembles and dies.

We all have an undying need to be accepted. But you need to trust your own uniqueness. Even if the rest of your beliefs seem silly or strange. Even if all the herd of bleating that this is nonsense.

Afraid to abandon their beliefs and feelings... We all need approval, but you have to believe that your views are unique and belong only to you.

I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way.
