For example, I want to get married and have children. Even if this marriage depends solely on my position, or my passion, or my desire, then by doing so I involve not only myself, but all of humanity on the path of monogamy. Thus, I am responsible for myself and for everyone, and I create a certain image of a person that I choose, choosing myself, I choose a person in general.

Subjectivism means, on the one hand, that the individual subject chooses himself, and on the other hand, that man cannot go beyond human subjectivity. It is the second meaning that is the deep meaning of existentialism. When we say that a person chooses himself, we mean that each of us chooses himself, but by doing so we also want to say that by choosing ourselves, we choose all people. Indeed, there is not a single action of ours that, by creating from us the person we would like to be, would not at the same time create an image of the person as he, according to our ideas, should be. To choose oneself in one way or another means at the same time to affirm the value of what we choose, since we can in no way choose evil. What we choose is always good. But nothing can be good for us without being good for everyone. If, on the other hand, existence precedes essence, and if we want to exist while creating our image, then this image is significant for our entire epoch as a whole. Thus, our responsibility is much greater than we might have imagined, as it extends to all of humanity.

Existentialism gives each person the possession of his being and gives him full responsibility for existence.

man is a being who is directed towards the future and is aware that it projects itself into the future. A person is, first of all, a project that is experienced subjectively, not moss, mold, or cauliflower. Nothing exists before this project, there is nothing in the intelligible heaven, and a person will become what his project of being is.

No love, except the one that creates itself; there is no "possible" love, except that which love manifests itself.

Choosing myself, I choose man in General.

Man exists only as itself conducts. It represents, therefore, is not that other, as the totality of his actions, nothing like his own life. If I have eliminated God the father, then there has to be someone to invent values. You need to accept things as they are. And besides, to say that we invent values means to assert only that the life has no a priori meaning. Until you live your life, it is nothing; you must give it meaning, and value is nothing like this choose the sense.

For the existentialist man is not, therefore, be easily ascertained that the original is nothing. Man it is only later, with the kind of person he will do himself. Thus, there is no human nature, since there is no God to conceive it. Man simply exists, and it is not only what is, but what he wants to be. And as he introduces himself after begins to exist, and manifests the will after it begins to exist, and after this impulse towards existence, he is only what he makes of himself.

On the other hand, if God does not exist, we ourselves find no values or commands to turn to which legitimize our conduct. Thus, neither behind nor in front of him in the bright realm of values, we have no excuses, no apology. We are alone, with no apology. This is what I Express with the words: man is condemned to be free. Convicted, because it is not made himself, and nevertheless free, because once thrown into the world, is responsible for everything that makes.

Existentialism is not that other, as attempt to draw all conclusions from a consistent atheism. He isn't trying to plunge man into despair. But if you are desperate to call, as do the Christians, all the unbelief, then it is original despair of its original item. Existentialism - not the atheism, who spends himself on the evidence that God does not exist. Rather, he declares that even if God existed, it wouldn't have mattered. That is our point of view. This does not mean that we believe in the existence of God ... In this sense existentialism is optimistic, a doctrine of action. And only because of dishonesty, of confusing their own despair with ours that Christians can describe us as desperate.

The point is not whether there is a God. Man has to find himself and to make sure that nothing can save him from himself, not even valid proof of the existence of God.

I can always choose, but I need to know that even if I choose nothing, I thereby still making a choice.
