Rome stands there, boy. Mighty, great, terrible Rome. There is a power that rises above the world, like the Colossus. No one can resist Rome, no one. And certainly not a youth. Our republic is something like a rich widow. Most Romans love her like their mother, but Crassus dreams of marrying an old woman, to be polite.
