Time is the most patient of the gods.

History is woven from battles, from alliances and treaties concluded and violated. Everything that deserved to remain in history was the antipode of war. History was a fabric, war was its rupture, and battles were fierce thorns tearing apart the cloth of history that had always, or at least until then, been restored with biological tenacity.

It was the story of a race doomed to peace, as the horrors of war and defeat were too deeply ingrained in their genes.

What is the width of one human life? And what is its thickness?

- I have no idea. It all looks completely meaningless. However, no less and no more than any war.

Soldiers during the war eat what they get, but do not die of hunger.

How to defeat violence without using violence?

Does violence only cause violence? Does humanity have such a bloody face, and it carries on its shoulders, like a grimacing demon, the specter of despair and death?

I am not a war criminal in the literal sense of the word. Yes, I fought in a long-standing war, but no one asked my opinion. I was born in a world that was at war, at a certain age I was trained and was forced to take part in battles.
