Quran [Theme]

People who are open to dialectical reasoning want to be sure that nothing that Revelation teaches is contrary to natural reason, and they want reasons why they should believe this rather than that. The function of theology is to find dialectical justifications with the help of which the picture of the world and the meaning of human existence given to us in Revelation (the Koran) will seem more true than any others.

Simple people guided by imagination rather than reason; can only be persuaded through rhetorical arguments. Thus, you cannot convince some nomad with philosophical arguments (which he does not understand) that it is not good to rob and kill other people. But, using the Koran (Divine Revelation), such a nomad can be taught that for bad behavior Allah will punish him with eternal torment in hell.

Al-Ashari and his followers categorically denied the eternity of the world and the presence of objective laws in it. The world was created by Allah, moreover, every moment Allah influences the world. that is, every event occurring in the world is the result of a separate creative act of God. Al-Ashari denied the existence of cause-and-effect relationships in the world and allowed only the existence of habits implanted by God in nature.
