No matter how terrible our relatives are, we still find the strength to love them.

No one has ever looked at me like my mother. Not dad, not Phil, not Alex. As soon as I opened my mouth, and for my mother, all other people ceased to exist. When I was in pain, she forgot about her own pain. Mom hated everyone who bullied me, more than myself. I could forgive all the bullies, but she did not forget anything.

I learned from my own bitter experience that parents do not have answers to many questions. We all really want these answers. And for the first twenty years of our life, we even believe that it is (however, it all depends on the specific parents and on how successfully they cover their asses). But in the end you realize that your parents are mere mortals, just as you once realized that Santa and the Easter bunny do not exist.
