On the faces of the actors you can read all the roles they have not played.

We are all actors in life and pretend to be who we want to be seen by others.

Not so long ago I realized that at some point I lost all respect for the actors. Everything we do is just an imitation of God, nothing more.

Not every actor can be a TV presenter, just as not every TV presenter can be capable of acting.

Trusting a man is stupid. And to trust a male actor is just to sign your own stupidity.

I would like the stage to be as narrow as the wire of a rope-dancer, so that inept people would not dare to step on it; now everyone considers himself gifted enough to parade on it.

Actors do not know how to distinguish between sincerity, because they are constantly acting.

Civilization is a farce. Saints, anarchists, actors of life are slaves of instincts. The heavenly state of purity cannot be achieved through earthly progress. The future, if it is destined to take place, is a song of heaven, a new human wisdom, the end of civilized superstitions, God.

We are two worthless actors in the theater of the absurd. We have nothing to fight for, but none of us wants to lose to the other.

Shakespeare is real, but his characters live in a world of extremes. They are thrown from ecstasy to suffering, from love to hate, from surprise to horror. But this is not melodrama, they are not exaggerating. Every moment is critical to them. A good actor playing in a Shakespearean play - no ... any good actor in principle - he not only utters lines, he feels them. We felt all of our characters' passions as our own. But the emotions of this or that hero do not cancel the emotions of the artist: you simply experience them all at once. Imagine that your thoughts and feelings are mixed up with the thoughts and feelings of another person. Sometimes it can be difficult to figure out who is who. We all felt very keenly. And it became an overwhelming burden for us, we bent under it, like Atlas, who supported the whole world on his shoulders.
